Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about MantleSwap, Mantle Network DeFi, swapping, staking, and bridging on Mantle.
What is MantleSwap? +
MantleSwap is the leading decentralized exchange (DEX) and DeFi protocol built natively on Mantle Network. It enables users to swap tokens, provide liquidity, stake MNT, bridge assets cross-chain, and earn yield — all with ultra-low gas fees powered by Mantle's L2 infrastructure.
What is Mantle Network and why should I use it for DeFi? +
Mantle Network is an Ethereum Layer 2 (L2) blockchain that uses modular architecture with EigenDA for data availability. It offers ~99% lower gas fees than Ethereum mainnet, EVM compatibility, fast finality, and is backed by the BitDAO treasury. It's ideal for DeFi because you keep full Ethereum security at a fraction of the cost.
How do I swap tokens on Mantle Network with MantleSwap? +
Connect your EVM wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, OKX Wallet) and switch to Mantle Network (Chain ID: 5000). Select the token you want to swap from and to, enter the amount, review the route and price impact, then confirm the transaction. The swap typically completes in seconds with fees under $0.01.
What is the MNT token and what is it used for? +
MNT is the native utility and governance token of Mantle Network. On MantleSwap, MNT is used for: paying reduced trading fees, staking to earn protocol revenue, governance voting on proposals, liquidity mining rewards, and boosting yields via the veMNT locking mechanism.
How do I add Mantle Network to MetaMask? +
In MetaMask, go to Settings → Networks → Add Network. Enter: Network Name: Mantle Network, RPC URL: https://rpc.mantle.xyz, Chain ID: 5000, Currency Symbol: MNT, Block Explorer: https://explorer.mantle.xyz. Alternatively, click "Launch App" on MantleSwap and we'll auto-add the network for you.
What are the trading fees on MantleSwap? +
MantleSwap offers tiered pool fees: 0.01% for stable pairs (e.g., USDT/USDC), 0.05% for correlated pairs (e.g., MNT/USDT), and 0.3% for volatile pairs (e.g., MNT/WETH). MNT stakers receive a share of all protocol fees collected, and holding veMNT reduces your personal swap fees.
How do I provide liquidity on MantleSwap? +
Go to the Pools tab, select a trading pair, and deposit equal USD values of both tokens. You'll receive LP tokens representing your share of the pool. Your LP earns a proportional share of all trading fees. You can also deposit LP tokens into farms for additional MNT rewards on top of trading fees.
What is impermanent loss and how does MantleSwap address it? +
Impermanent loss (IL) occurs when the price ratio of pooled tokens changes vs. when you deposited. MantleSwap mitigates IL through: concentrated liquidity ranges for active LPs, stable pools with minimal IL for stablecoin pairs, high trading fee APRs that often outweigh IL, and IL protection programs for select pools.
How does MNT staking work on MantleSwap? +
Stake MNT tokens in the Staking section for lock periods of 7 (14.2% APR), 30 (18.4% APR), or 90 days (26.8% APR). Staked MNT earns protocol revenue from swap fees, bridge fees, and other MantleSwap products. Rewards are claimable weekly and compound automatically.
What is veMNT and how do I get it? +
veMNT (vote-escrowed MNT) is obtained by locking MNT for up to 4 years. The longer you lock, the more veMNT you receive. veMNT gives you: amplified APRs up to 4× on your LP positions, boosted staking yield (up to 84.2% APR), governance voting power, and a share of protocol buybacks.
Which chains can I bridge to/from Mantle? +
MantleSwap Bridge supports: Ethereum Mainnet (~5 min), Arbitrum One (~3 min), Optimism (~3 min), BNB Chain (~2 min), Base (~3 min), Polygon (~4 min), Avalanche (~4 min), and Mantle Testnet. We use LayerZero and Stargate for secure cross-chain messaging with MPC validation.
Is MantleSwap safe? Has it been audited? +
Yes. MantleSwap smart contracts have been audited by multiple top security firms. The protocol is non-custodial (you always control your keys), has no admin upgrade keys after launch, uses time-locked governance for all changes, and maintains a $2M bug bounty program with ImmuneFi.
What is the best way to earn yield on Mantle Network? +
The highest yields on Mantle come from: (1) veMNT locking (up to 84.2% APR), (2) Yield farming with LP tokens (62–84% APR on top pools), (3) MNT staking (14–26.8% APR), (4) Providing liquidity to volatile pools (18–44% APR from fees). Combining LP provision with farming maximizes total yield.
How do I bridge USDT from Ethereum to Mantle? +
Open the Bridge tab on MantleSwap. Select Ethereum as the source chain and Mantle as the destination. Choose USDT, enter the amount, and confirm two transactions (approve + bridge). Your USDT arrives on Mantle in approximately 5 minutes. Bridging costs ~$0.50 in ETH gas plus a 0.05% bridge fee.
What tokens are supported on MantleSwap? +
MantleSwap supports all tokens on Mantle Network including: MNT (native), USDT, USDC, WETH, WBTC, DAI, METH (Mantle ETH), FBTC, and 100+ other ERC-20 tokens. Any token with a Mantle Network contract address can be added to the interface using the custom token feature.
What is METH (Mantle Staked ETH)? +
METH is Mantle's liquid staking token for ETH. When you deposit ETH into Mantle's LSP (Liquid Staking Protocol), you receive METH which represents your staked ETH plus accumulated staking rewards (~4% APY). METH is fully liquid and can be traded, used as collateral, or provided as liquidity on MantleSwap.
How does the MantleSwap AMM work? +
MantleSwap uses a hybrid AMM model combining constant-product (x*y=k) for volatile pairs and StableSwap invariant for correlated/stable pairs. For concentrated liquidity pools, LPs can provide liquidity within custom price ranges to maximize fee earnings. The smart router automatically splits orders across multiple pools for best execution.
What wallets are compatible with MantleSwap? +
Any EVM-compatible wallet works with MantleSwap since Mantle Network is EVM-compatible. Recommended wallets include: MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, WalletConnect (supports 300+ mobile wallets), OKX Wallet, Rabby, Trust Wallet, and Brave Wallet. All wallets simply need to be connected to Mantle Network (Chain ID: 5000).
How do I participate in MantleSwap governance? +
Lock MNT tokens to receive veMNT, then use your veMNT balance to vote on governance proposals. Proposals cover: new pool listings, fee tier adjustments, new chain integrations for the bridge, treasury allocations, and protocol upgrades. A 5% quorum of total veMNT supply is required for a proposal to pass.
What is concentrated liquidity on MantleSwap? +
Concentrated liquidity allows LPs to provide liquidity within a specific price range rather than across the full 0→∞ curve. For example, you could concentrate all your MNT/USDT liquidity between $0.30 and $0.80. This makes your capital up to 40× more efficient, earning significantly higher fees per dollar deposited when price stays in your range.
How do I earn farming rewards on MantleSwap? +
After providing liquidity and receiving LP tokens, go to the Earn/Farm tab. Find your pool's farm (e.g., MNT-USDT Farm), deposit your LP tokens, and start earning MNT rewards proportional to your share of the farm. Rewards accumulate every block and can be claimed anytime. veMNT holders get up to 4× boosted farming rewards.
What is the MantleSwap referral program? +
MantleSwap has a referral program where you earn 10% of trading fees generated by users you refer for the first 3 months. Share your unique referral link from the dashboard, and when referred users swap, you receive MNT tokens directly to your wallet. There's no limit on referral earnings.
How fast are transactions on Mantle Network? +
Mantle Network achieves 2-second block times with transactions confirmed in one block. Token swaps on MantleSwap feel nearly instant compared to Ethereum mainnet. Withdrawals back to Ethereum L1 take ~7 days due to the optimistic fraud proof window, but fast withdrawals via liquidity providers are available in ~5 minutes.
Can I use MantleSwap on mobile? +
Yes. MantleSwap is fully responsive and works on mobile browsers. For the best mobile experience, use the in-app browser of WalletConnect-compatible wallets (Trust Wallet, MetaMask Mobile, OKX Wallet). Simply navigate to mantle-swap.vercel.app within your wallet's browser, connect, and trade on the go.
What is slippage and how do I set it on MantleSwap? +
Slippage is the difference between the quoted price and the execution price, caused by market movement between submission and confirmation. MantleSwap defaults to 0.5% auto-slippage, which is appropriate for most trades. For stable pairs, 0.1% is usually fine. For low-liquidity tokens, you may need to increase to 1–2%. Set it in the swap settings (⚙ icon).
How does MantleSwap compare to other Mantle DEXes? +
MantleSwap leads Mantle Network by TVL ($340M+), 24H volume ($48M+), and active users (240K+). Compared to alternatives, MantleSwap offers: the most token pairs, a native cross-chain bridge, veMNT governance model with highest staking yields, best-in-class smart routing, and the only full DeFi suite (swap + pools + stake + bridge + farm) in one platform.
Is there a MantleSwap token airdrop? +
MantleSwap has ongoing incentive programs rewarding active users. Points are accumulated by: swapping tokens, providing liquidity, staking MNT, bridging assets, and referring friends. Points convert to MSWAP governance tokens during future distribution events. The more actively you use the protocol, the larger your allocation.
What is the MantleSwap Treasury and how is it used? +
The MantleSwap Treasury receives 20% of all protocol fee revenue. Treasury funds are governed by veMNT holders and used for: funding protocol development, security audits, liquidity incentives, marketing and partnerships, and emergency insurance reserves. Current treasury balance and all transactions are publicly viewable on-chain.
How do I withdraw liquidity from a MantleSwap pool? +
Go to the Pools tab, find your position, and click "Remove Liquidity". Select the percentage to withdraw (25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%), review the expected token amounts, and confirm the transaction. Your underlying tokens plus accrued fees are returned to your wallet instantly. If your LP is staked in a farm, unstake first.
What are the risks of using MantleSwap? +
As with all DeFi protocols, risks include: smart contract risk (mitigated by audits and bug bounties), impermanent loss for LPs, price volatility of MNT, bridge risks for cross-chain transfers, and potential smart contract exploits. Only invest what you can afford to lose. MantleSwap is non-custodial — you always control your assets.
